♥ Finally a BIGGER Wacom!

Posted Wednesday, July 16th, 2008 in: Cafe Coffee

I’m so happy right now!

Finally, I’m getting a bigger Wacom tablet.

I’ve tried several smaller ones over the years that I didn’t really like and I have never been quite happy with drawing with my mouse. Nor relying on others for thangs I know I can do myself, but either didn’t have much time or just couldn’t make it happen quick enough with my mouse.

Time has been my biggest hurdle. But, now that I have more time…it’s time to get learning and doing thangs for myself with the tools that I want to work with. One being a bigger Wacom!

Here are some of the bigger Wacom tablets available:

Wacom Cintiq 21UX Tablet with Interactive Pen

Wacom Cintiq 20WSX Interactive Pen Display

Wacom Cintiq 12″ Pen Display

Wacom Intuos3 12X19 Pen Tablet

Wacom Intuos3 9X12 USB Tablet

Wacom Intuos3 6×11 Pen Tablet

I so can’t wait to play with this baby! I’m ready to do more with illustrations with Adobe Illustrator. Including, making my own characters like I use to on paper. Oh, and making some nice illustrations from real photos for our newspaper ads for our business and our business website. The possibilities are endless as long as I am eager to learn and do more….which I am now that I have the final tools coming.

PhotoShop has always been my friend….I plan to make Illustrator my best friend, soon!

Coffee donations appreciated to help keep me awake and researching.

    Thank you ;-)

I can’t wait to start drawing with it when it arrives. I have many plans to making alot of thangs with my new Wacom. And finally utilizing my Illustrator for once.

I used to use a smaller wacom and always LOVED it. WHen it finally gave out I never got another, but you’ve inspired me now…… I also saw a new program being distributed by Smith Micro called “Art Rage” that looks like it emulates Corel Paint. Exciting times….. (you know, for us geeks)

Peter, I hope you can get one of the bigger ones. Wacom recently came out with a Cintiq 12″. I’ve heard that the edges of it spaz out but the center is just as nice as the 21″. For half the price, it’s a nice investment.

I’ll have to check out Art Rage. Thanks for the tip.

I’ve never had the pleasure to work with Coral Paint (though it’s always been a dream). Between PhotoShop, Illustrator, and PaintShopPro (now owned by Corel) I’ve fed my fix pretty well. But Corel Paint has always been one of those programs that I’ve always wanted to try “some day”.

Don’t ya just love the software and gadgets we can play with…it’s almost as good as coffee…almost, that is.

Yeah! It finally arrived! And I’m lovin’ it!

I got me the 21″ and it’s so smooth, it’s just like writing on paper.

You wouldn’t believe how easy it is to draw on this thang.

The only thang I didn’t like was that on the back of my comp I only have one input. Therefore, I must use the Cintiq for my monitor. I was going to give hubby my widescreen and use his smaller screen alongside my new playtoy. However, my playtoy works just fine as a monitor…so, I’m a happy camper.

I don’t have alot of time to play today or tomorrow since I have to work nights all night. But, I’m so excited to get started with my BIG HUGE Wacom that I know I’ll be busy Sunday with it all day…

Wish me lots of playtime and lots of fun…

Oh, and hubby is a happy camper too now that he has my BIG widescreen monitor. He’s been wanting one since I got mine several months ago. Now he’s in his glory….which makes me happy for him.
